The Ministry Directory is a resource for you and your family members for choosing a ministry in which you would like to serve. It is our hope that this handbook of the various opportunities to serve will be of benefit to you. Our parish goal is 100% of the St. Brigid and St. James parishioners actively participating in ministries.

There may be those in our parish community who think they have no special gifts or talents to share with others. Please remember that all that is needed is a genuine desire to serve God and His people.

We invite you to become involved in the ministry life of our parish. To volunteer for a ministry, simply identify the desired ministry using the Ministry Directory, then contact our Volunteer Coordinator with any questions or to volunteer your time, Mary Lou Paquette, at 584-5565 ext. 13 mlpaquette@stbrigidlou.org

May God, the giver of all gifts and talents, grant us the spirit of generosity as we share our time, talent and treasure at our St. Bridget & St. James Cluster Parish.

Here are just a few of our Ministries that serve the entire Community

Senior Ministry

Mary Lou Paquette, Volunteer Coordinator – 584-5565 ext. 13

To encourage those in our Fellowship who are 50 and over to participate in activities that foster spiritual growth and health, age-level educational pursuits, evangelistic outreach, and wholesome fellow-ship events. To promote strong focal points of need so that people may be involved in an area that interests them. The committee and coordinator should work together to determine the needs of senior adults. This includes needs and interests of senior adults within the parish and in the community. This information can be gathered by research, surveys and interviews, brainstorming by the planning committee, and by observation of senior adults.

The purpose of our conference is to provide assistance in the form of monetary aid for utilities, rent and mortgage payments. Our main focus is to provide aid to clients in the 40204 & 40205 zip codes of Louisville, KY. However we may extend a lesser amount of aid to other areas of Louisville through other outreach ministries. The inverse is true as well with other ministries assisting with clients through us in the 40204 & 40205 zip codes.
