Parish Outreach Ministry involves the pastoral care of the sick and home-bound parishioners of St. Brigid and St. James parishes through phone calls, home visitation and Communion calls. Communion is available weekly to parishioners in their own homes, nursing homes or hospitals when they are not able to attend Mass. Communion visits are also made weekly to ill or elderly Catholics from other parishes who are in nursing homes or hospitals which have been assigned to St. Brigid and St. James by the Archdiocese.

Family members or others who are aware of parishioners who are in need of the outreach service of visitation and Eucharist are asked to contact the Parish Outreach Minister, Sister Catherine Mahady, OP, at St. Brigid.

Sacramental services of Penance and Sacrament of the Sick are made available through arrangements with the parish offices of St. Brigid at 584-5565 ext. 10 or at St. James 451-1420 ext. 10.

This ministry welcomes volunteers who would like to serve those who are home-bound, in nursing homes or in hospitals. Volunteers can become involved by contacting Sr. Catherine Mahady.
